The Trajectory of Life – The Environmental Force

10 April 2024

Dear friend,

Move if it is required; you are not a tree. Even trees move, because the environment is crucial.

Let’s digress into it.

At the beginning of this series, when I wrote that the parental factor is so strong that it follows us to our death, I wasn’t joking.

One immediate aftereffect of the parental factor is the environment. By virtue of the type of parents we have, our first environment is already predetermined, and this, to a very great extent, displaces and predisposes us to certain attributes in life. Here is where our battle begins.

Many have been cut short of the good things in life… Many have had unfortunate and premature endings all because of the environment they found themselves in at birth.

When I say environment, it starts with the type of hospital you were born in. There are people whose lives have been unfortunately messed up because they were born in dumb hospitals.

Some people suffer from physical defects that could have been corrected at birth, simply because they were born in hospitals that couldn’t help them. I hope you know that there are certain careers you will have a hard time getting into if you are physically challenged, i.e., nursing. Someone with an abnormal shape might not be admitted to a nursing institution.

From place of birth to place of residence to place of schooling, down to the kind of people around… maybe my mother saw this when she refused to let us mingle with the children around then…

Being born in and as a Nigerian has already placed you at a major disadvantage globally; are you aware of that? Basic things are lacking, down to something as fundamental as quality schooling and stable internet… It’s all messed up. But you didn’t choose it yourself. You found yourself here, battling many things that were supposed to be made available to you.

Your way out begins by acknowledging that you are in.

As I wrote earlier: MOVE, YOU ARE NOT A TREE!

The moment you acknowledge that you are in, trapped, your journey out has begun. Just get out of that environment, leave that toxic friendship, dump that backward relationship, but figure out a way out.

Love and light!

Rooting for you, and I trust you too are rooting for me.

Best Regards,

Joseph Chisom Ofonagoro.

Till I write next, Goodbye!
