Letters: The Trajectory of Life -- 1
20 March 2024Dear friend,
This is the beginning of a new series on life called ‘The Trajectory of Life’. The first ever time I’d be writing a newsletter series.
The trajectory of life is a term I coined myself to describe a concept that has long puzzled me. So, it is pretty new in name, but not new in reality.
Let’s break it down from the single-word definitions.
Our main word here is trajectory.
Trajectory can have many definitions, but ultimately they all converge on a point.
“A trajectory is the process of change or development that leads to a particular result. “
This here is the definition I need.
When I say the trajectory of life, I mean those processes that collectively influence and tilt our lives towards a particular path. That trajectory ultimately determines what our life turns out to be at any given time.
Now, unfortunately, this trajectory begins even before we were conceived, even before our parents and grandparents were conceived too. Up until the age of 14 or thereabouts, our life’s trajectory is largely out of our control. We simply live our lives already on a path we didn’t choose for ourselves.
This is so sad that many people, even before they were born, have been ‘condemned’ to have a certain proclivity to live a type of life that is substantially ruining. And this is why I bring this to you. So you can steer your reminder out of that negative core and that of your progeny.
But then you know what? It is a two-way thing.
It is paradoxical in nature, oxymoronic. Trying to beat itself.
What is it? We are both caused and blessed at the same time by this trajectory. In proportions, I can’t tell, but since I know that Mother Nature isn’t partial, I have reason to believe the proportions are equal, though some have theirs in the negative, so it simply beclouds their eyes to see the path they are threading.
Do not blame people; they came into this world with a preset trajectory that begins with their first emergence as conscious beings; we all did. Some escaped it, others didn’t. why?
Let’s see in the next episode of this series.
PS: It is natural to get confused with this; with time, coherence will come upon you if you are confused. Till then, bye!
Love and light!
Rooting for you, and I trust you too are rooting for me.
Best Regards,
Joseph Chisom Ofonagoro.
Till I write next, Goodbye!
